Sometimes the fates align, and a perfect storm of events coincide to form something unique and amazing. This is the case with the one-of-a-kind CAO OSA Sol Cigars. This treat of a smoke all started with a unique wrapper from Olancho, San Agustin. A fertile valley in Honduras, Olancho features some of the most mineral-rich soil, and clear rivers and springs.
Receiving the absolute perfect amount of sun, rain, humidity, and temperature, the crops that came from the 2008 Olancho, San Agustin region produced a tobacco leaf that is unique in a rich and beautiful way. Inside the Earthy Honduran wrapper is a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos that perfectly compliment the earthiness of the wrapper.
Rich with essential oils and flavors, the OSA Sol produces a provocative taste that celebrates the nuances of a once in a decade cigar. Rick Rodriguez, who spearheads CAO’s new product development, collaborated with Ed McKenna, CAO’s senior brand manager, to create CAO OSA Sol in the CAO tradition of developing exciting new tastes and great packaging.
Cigar Journal named OSA Sol one of its “Top 25 Premium Cigars of 2011”
